RAINY DAYS

Rainy Days is my very first collection of songs, written at a time when my days weren’t all bright and shiny, full of happiness and excitement. It’s not as polished as my later work, but it holds a kind of raw honesty that only a first album can carry. I don’t write songs at the height of my emotions but once the storm has passed, when the drizzle and fog still linger. The calm after the storm isn’t the same as being truly at peace after all.

Some bury themselves in work, for some a fun vacation with friends is the solution, but for me it was the empty streets at night, listening to my favourite music, talking to my very best friends, and songwriting. It helped me grow, to realize why it’s sometimes best to (finally) move on, how to do it, where to go. It helped me clear my head and slowly start picking up the broken parts again.
The songs on this album capture pieces of that journey. My wildest dream would be that they might help you on yours, too. Especially on the Rainy Days.
